Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a consultation cost?

An initial consultation, lasting up to two hours, costs £135. This includes preliminary health check questionnaire analysis, any necessary research and a written summary of recommendations specific to your individual health needs.

A follow up consultation (recommended), lasting a minimum of 30 minutes, costs £17.50 per 15 minutes. This includes a summary of any adjustments to your programme. Interpretation of test results may incur a separate charge, depending on test complexity.

A dietary analysis session costs £80. This includes the production of an individualised report based on a detailed four day food diary and a 60 minute consultation to explain the report's findings and make appropriate suggestions for dietary change.

Payment is by cash or cheque only. Debit and credit cards cannot be accepted.

If, following your consultation, you decide to undertake functional tests or to buy nutritional supplements, payment is made directly to the appropriate supplier. A discount on the retail price of supplements is available for clients. Any practitioner rebates are used to invest in your therapist's continuing professional development.

What information will I receive at a consultation?

After a detailed health history has been taken and the reasons behind your current state of health have been explained to you in a functional context (please see the 'Nutritional Therapy' page of this website for details), a suitable dietary programme is discussed and agreed.

If time allows, you will be given a one day diet plan to take away with you. A more detailed list of dietary guidelines, together with some suggested further reading and details of any appropriate nutritional supplements, will be posted or emailed to you within three working days of your appointment.

If you are having a dietary analysis session, you will receive a report based on your individual food diary at the session, giving a breakdown of your current diet and suggestions for change.
